I and our group enjoyed Russia very much. We especially liked being in Moscow for the 65th Victory Day Parade...The ship was fine and the food was great. I availed myself of wonderful onboard activities such as Russian language lessons; documentaries on Russian architecture and Pushkin; vodka tasting; demonstration of handicrafts; Russian tea...I think the Volga River cruise is best enjoyed by an older tourist as we were on the boat too much and not enough time was spent onshore.

We arranged several hotels ourselves in Moscow and St. Petersburg and have no complaints with them. I would highly recommend the Marriott Aurora and the Renaissance Monarch Center...The Hotel Milan at DME was delighful and reasonable with a full breakfast buffet and free shuttle to the airport. I would recommend it.
