Just to let you know that we had a great trip on the m.v. Koshevoy down the Dneiper River and around the Black Sea – you did a good job and we commend and thank you. Of course we had our best time with our friends in Kiev prior to the riverboat trip, and we also enjoyed the stops in Tulcea, Romania (EXCELLENT folk show of their music/dancing), Nessebar, Bulgaria, and Istanbul after the boat trip.
Perfect weather (warm & sunny EVERY day, praise God!), perfect safety, and great plane connections. We liked our cabin location on the boat (tiny but clean and adequate), the Rus Hotel was very nice and the Klas Hotel was ok (room was as tiny as on the boat!), both locations were good so we could walk on our own to the main streets and see a lot. Food and service was good on the boat, entertainment was a little hokey, but ok. Boat excursion tours were well-done, good guides, and the optional ones we took were all good (especially the concerts in Sevastapol and in Odessa) except that the optional one from Kherson to Fisherman’s Island with a table full of ok food wasn’t much – the long boat ride there and back was 2/3 of the excursion, not much seen or learned). Even though there was only one other USA couple on the boat, we had the best time with the Brits at our dining table daily (it was mostly Germans onboard, some French and Italian and Norwegian). Very good staff on the boat! All-in-all: GOOD!
Blessings,
